Sweet street harvest, MrPink!
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

it's really nice when there are quarters at nearly every stop.

i only picked eighty-nine cents last night, but I've gotten a headstart on tonight's hunt; I picked a pair of quarters out of the street on my way home from one of my yards half an hour ago.

Well done, MrPink! I found 8 pence (0ne 5p, one 2p and one penny) on the street in Folkestone last Monday but didn't bother to take a photo as it was pouring with rain. I am sure coin finds in the UK have declined dramatically since 2020 with the reduced use of cash payments.

very nice - 89 cents is far better than nothing. and I'll look forwards to seeing what you end up with later on..

...so tonight I picked a well-scattered ninety-nine cents, added to my earlier fifty cent pick = $1.49. among tonight's pickins: a very decent 1936-D LWC--- no road rash!!!

Nice score and great find! That 1936 - D Wheat cent is in good shape. You saved it just in time.

Quote: You saved it just in time that was exactly what I thought when I found it. I should have nabbed a picture; that LWC was one of four cents I picked from one spot in publix' parking lot. the other three were shiny new LSC. that wheatie stood out because of it's color, or patina. I knew it was a wheatie standing there looking down at it. glad to have saved it from being run over. most of the wheaties I find are road-rashed.
