ohhh, there are always images... here are some quarters I've pulled from machines on nights where I scored less than a dollar:

excellent indeed, and in keeping with that positive vibe, tonight was excellent, as well; I picked a well-scattered $1.89 before it began to rain... tonight's haul:



i sheltered beneath a large awning at a drive-up window at a bank for about 20 minutes, the moderate rainfall pushed through quickly enough and I rolled for home. no sense in looking for coins on wet pavement. happy with a buck-eighty-nine... best night in several weeks.

a dancing banana has been loooooong overdue. tonight, the first groundscore FRN of 2026:





and I picked a well-scattered ninety-three cents to go with that wild buck (plus a lighter ), besting last night's haul by four cents.

four of the first five days of may have been $1+, with two of those nights (tonight & last night) being near $2. the month is off to a good start.

...so tonight I had thirty-five cents in my pocket as I rolled into the winn-dixie plaza and immediately found some goodies that someone had left in a shopping cart:



two large beef stew pouches, ready-to-eat, and a two-quart bottle of grape juice. lucky me. the 'use by' dates on the stew are both late 2028, and the 'use by' date on the juice is march 27, 2027. march 27-- coincidentally enough-- is my birthday.



i rolled out of winn-dixie with that score and was starting to wonder if I was going to find anymore coins. minutes later I picked three quarters from atop an air/vac machine:



$1.10 on the night on just 3 stops, plus eats & drink. I stowed that stuff with my hurricane supplies.
