Been awhile since I've found one of these. I was on a roll for quite awhile pulling maybe 1-2 a box from my source. Then they all dried up. Fortunately, I found several good ones. This one here seems to have a different reverse since the 2 die chips on top left shield are not present, only a small crack. So either a different reverse or maybe an Eds. Enjoy !

Great find wrongnumber! I think you have an earlier die state die for WDDO-001. It would be an unlisted stage.

Hmm , maybe you're right. The buckling around the date isn't really that wrong either & the date itself seems a bit on the thinner side.

The die that struck this coin is approaching LDS. Note the die flow lines near the rim area. Die crack on the left shield top area. But a great DDO. I like the LIBERTY best for showing spread and distortion.

Coop, you think? The markers on the reverse were 2 die chips, this one doesn't have them.

I've been reading the comments and had to put my "one cent" in.
"ERTY" looks a lot like 2018 1¢ WDDO-001
The date does not look like 2018 1¢ WDDO-001
The reverse does not look like 2018 1¢ WDDO-001
Coop pointed out the near LDS condition of your coin.
Could this be a new Doubled Die for the 2008P LSC?

Well John's example is a later die state than your coin. But it is the right number. I look at the closed in devices. Note how the 'B & R' is a match as well as the date. That where I look first on doubled dies. Inside the devices get more distorted by hub doubling. That is usually where I look first.

Well I know for a fact it's 001. I have several of them & all have the die chips on the shield. This one has to be an earlier state since they aren't there. It does show the same mark to the right of them.

Question:
Is this a crack or a scratch?

It might be a solution, but they might want to check to see if it is for sure that die first. When I get some time, I take a closer look at it. If you could provide some images like the ones on Wexler's site or on Variety Vista, I could make a side by side later on.
(Always include extra space outside the devices. I can trim off what is not needed. It is a bit harder to graft some on to the image that is missing. If you want to send them unedited to me to my email box, I can get them there or here)

This is my happythread for the day.

I live a few miles out from the middle of nowhere, and the local banks are unable to order new coins. Everything they get from Brinks is luck of he draw (I am guessing that there are tiers of service for different banks).

Today (Friday), when my wife stopped by to pick up some coins, she came home withs six rolls of pennies. All were Brinks. (The customer rolls of late have been mostly crud, I think someone is dumping at the bank).

Four of the rolls were 2018 BU cents. It's the first time I've ever gotten a BU roll!

When I saw the 2018 I got excited - for a split second. Then I noticed the lack of a mint mark, and realized I wouldn't be finding any of those "ear" DDO coins.

But now I see this thread and have a reason to take loupe to them (other than to look for Cuds, but my odds of finding one, based on past performance, is about zero).

Thanks for making a tired old fart's day! <g>
