A nice update of UK KGV and KGVI acquisitions from me. 1925 Halfcrown, yes the condition is dialled back a bit here, but its a very scarce coin and commands a premium price. 1947 Halfcrown, this is more like it, change from buying a copy of Quicksilver by Bing Crosby and the Andrews sisters from a 10/- note and not touched since 1948! Another! high grade 1929 Halfcrown, these things grow on trees for me, a keeper too, so my avatar coin has company! (Yes that coin in the avatar is mine and it was the coin that launched my Halfcrown collecting obsession!)

I have quite a few fresh update coins, so I will keep it to 3 or 4 items a post. A trio of EF/AU shillings from 1933 to 1935. For the sake of convenience, I will show one heads side, as its overkill being all the same grade (Well 1935 is slightly better) 1933 1934 1935 The heads side of the 1934 coin

Final 3 for now, will also do an update on my "British coins" thread 1932 Florin, again Fine rather than EF or AU. Whereas most KGVI coins are pretty common in the high grades (Excluding some 1950/51 Pennies), there are quite a few KGV dates which are scarce like the 1932 Florin and 1924/5 and 1930 Halfcrowns, hence the cost and availibity of high grade specimens drops off and an average grade coin has to suffice to the collector with less deep pockets like me. No such problems with the common dates of 1935 and 1936 though! The UK was swinging out of the Depression then and spending shot up, more coins were needed. AU 1935 Halfcrown AU 1936 Florin They are nice coins and cost more than average examples, but coins like this are affordable on a workers pay packet like mine.
