Maybe I'm not understanding something, but what is the prize? Entering a contest without knowing the stakes--how typical of me...

Phase 3You may post two scores in one single post. The person who's score matches my worst (highest) score wins. If no match, the closes without going over. If by chance there is a tie, the winner will be chosen by my best score - providing you submitted 2 scores. If you want to attempt the puzzle once and the 2nd later is acceptable --- but BOTH scores must be in your first orginal post. Do not post your 2nd score in a new post. Edit your first post [and do not change your first score -it has been documented on my end] then add your 2nd score.
Rules: The puzzle must be solve with the 70 Piece Bulbs cut only. If not already set, allow puzzle to load completely then click on "Change cut" to select ' 70 Piece Bulbs' before you begin. Absolutely NO 'auto solve' will be accepted.
I will keep this phase active till Thurs 8/21 Midnight forum time to give everyone who want a shot at this a chance.
I find that seperating all 4 corners/edges--straight-sided edges gives me an idea what position each piece would be, ( left-right-top and bottom pieces) as shown below and start putting these together first, then begin filling in the center... Just a thought.
An example of how I set it up shown below.Image: seper.jpg63.47 KB Go to Mila's 2008 B'day PuzzleHave fun. Good Luck! mila_

not sure if this is the right way to do this one, but I did the puzzle twice and those were my times.
