CouchDiver1978 Valued Member United States 386 Posts	Posted 04/16/2019 12:13 pm I take my pics with my Samsung G7 and my usb microscope. For some reason this coin just popped. Almost holographic, you know. I didn't do anything special that I remember, the coin just loved the camera (which was my G7 I believe) Here is another 2003 D that I found the same day which I thought was interesting. Apologies for the pictures they're kind of broken up and lacking in-continuity. As such, they are likely 2 display the same characteristics you elicited in your previous analysis of the first coin discussed in this post. Report this Post to the Staff

When taking images with a scope, keep in mind to focus on the fields and not on the tops of the devices. If you focus on the tops of the devices, the fields will be blurry. (Note on the 2003 images how the fields are not clear) On the other images the fields were clear looking. Report this Post to the Staff
CouchDiver1978 Valued Member United States 386 Posts	Posted 04/17/2019 9:27 pm I'll have to look at the file names of the original pictures and not the collage that I use for the Post to be certain which camera I took it with. I think that the first one was done with my Galaxy 7 phone viewing through a 14 power Hastings triplet in natural light. The second one since I found it at the same time may have used the same setup and could be blurry because the light was changing or maybe because I was focusing more on the devices in less than the field. What you're saying makes a lot of sense I'll definitely place emphasis on the fields over device tops. Thanks Coop. Report this Post to the Staff
