The slant at the top of the "L" looks like 002.

I think it is 002 because of the greater spread in GOD compared to 007.

Great find either way... Congratulations

Congrats on a nice find!

I'm also going with Die 2

Lincoln's lip has a die dot or pimple on Die7 which I do not see.

I do see what looks like the die gouge in the fold of Lincoln's coat
which is another die marker for Die 2.

Coop and everyone else, thank you for the help! It's 1DO-002, because the doubling in "LIBERTY" exactly matches the doubling on 1DO-002.

I'm happy to own it! I have never found this one before.

Thank you Giwalsh! I definitely agree that 1972 was one of the best years for Doubled Dies! Probably one of the era kings of all Doubled Dies!

So I feel the top of the 'L' is the first place to look as a deciding difference for the 002-007 dies.

You're right Coop. I didn't mean to give you a headache earlier. My eyes were shot, and I had to take a break. Then I looked at it again and finally figured it out.

I usually just post the images and let everyone comment. The more you study the images, the more you become familiar with the dies differences. Having them closer together, helps a lot more.
