Quote: Fairly certain they were finished with satin on mint set coins after 2010 because people didn't like it. For me it wasn't that I didn't like the satin finish. It was simply that by purchasing the mint set you really didn't have coins that were representative of the ones struck for circulation.

I'll wait to see them at a coin show and see how much dealers are charging for one.

This. While the mint set coins are minted at a slower speed with higher pressure, making them technically different from business strikes, they were still similar enough that an early die state business strike could look better than a late die state mint set coin. However, the satin finish took the differences to the next level, a half step away from being proof.

Well, I guess the mint is just slacking. Checked the website this morning and was still processing but the package was delivered at 10:30Am this morning, and now the website says "delivered" and all that jazz. When I get home from work today I have something to look forward to.. besides cold hamburger helper.....

Got mine today! The standard issue coins all look great. Here's the 2019-W cent - overall looks pretty good, there's a slight toning mark on the obverse around 2:00 that shows depending on lighting. Good enough for free I guess.

If it was a typical mint item that you'd pay for, I'd call them and ask them to send a call tag so I could return it. However, this was "free". I don't see it as being worthwhile for me or them to go through the hassle of returning something that they view as being worth $0.01.

Got mine yesterday. Looks good, considering it had plenty of room to move around inside the shipping box between the Uncirculated and American Legion sets.
