The price is 9.95, so a bit my more than the regular proof. Maybe it will be more limited and a year late.

Quote: It's on the product schedule now for August 18 I think there was a typo in this post (or the release date changed?). The release date currently indicated on the Mint's website is August 14 The product number for this item is 18GE (the regular proof is 18GA), which would indicate it's a 2018 product and a not a 2019 product. It's just strange that it was held until 2019 for release

It almost seems like they are reluctantly going forward with the series at all.

There must have been production or packaging problems that caused the delay. It's also possible that the Mint held back the RP coin until now to help fill the void while the regular coins are delayed. Reminds me of reading about the issues with the First Spouse coins back in 2012/2013.

As far as I've seen, they didn't even indicate that 2018 RP's were going to be available until they just showed up on the 2019 schedule.

Since they can no longer mint them, I wonder if they'll tell us the maximum mintage which should be the actual total mintage? I submitted a FOIA request a couple of days ago requesting production information by month and year for this coin. We'll see what I get back if anything

BadDog, I'm assuming that you've submitted them before. How long do they typically take?

Well, I've responded to many more than one I've ever submitted That one took about 30 days from the BEP. Since both agencies are part of the Treasury Department, I'm guessing the Mint will be about the same. I was hoping to know something before the coin is released

So we are still waiting for confirmation from the USMint?
