To me they ruined it. They removed the mint surfaces trying to remove the spots. Some things you should not do to a coin. Alter them. I wouldn't want to be the one bought this one. What NGC did to this coin was not nice, but undesirable. It would have been better off before the conservation. Send to PCGS and it would be body bagged. Sometimes things should be left alone. To an unseasoned collector they may think it is nice. But not to me. This image came from another forum years ago. I saved it to show that even professionals can ruin coins also.
