NumisEd Pillar of the Community United States 5177 Posts	Posted 07/19/2025 4:29 pm A new addition from Ukraine, a 2 Hryvni coin minted in 2000 commemorating Ivan Kozlovsky. Kozlovsky (1900-1993) was a lyric tenor. He gained notoriety as a favorite of Stalin, but as a result was under constant surveillance and not to allowed to leave the Soviet Union under any circumstances. He was a Czech composer, among other things, inspired by Moravian and other Slavic music, including Eastern European folk music.
