This is the first note I've posted from my home country! The 'LL' prefix identifies it as a replacement - equivalent to an American 'Star' note.

Three banks in Scotland still produce their own notes - the Bank of Scotland, the Royal Bank of Scotland and the Clydesdale Bank. Bank of England notes also circulate in Scotland. On my recent visits there I've found that almost every £10 note I receive in change is Scottish, but most of the £5 notes are English: I actually find it hard getting Scottish £5 notes in decent condition.
