A story to show how generous Butch was. Butch had been trying to get me to complete the V ( Liberty nickels), but since I was working on completing the walking liberties I told him I would have to wait. So for christmas he sends me this.  I was only missing 3 coins to complete the set. I may sell most of my coins but this set will stay with me. It will always remind me of the generosity of Butch.    Edited by hfjacinto

I enjoyed his irreverent take on some things. When we would PM he was a different person and, as has been said multiple times, a very generous guy. We had plans to meet up if I ever made it past the Mississippi River and I never did (yet). I guess now we will meet on the streets of gold! I'm very happy to hear he was a Christian - that means it isn't over yet...

If anyone is nearby and can attend there will be a funeral for Butch on Monday, 8/3/2020. The address is below. The viewing will be at noon, a service at 1 and a procession to the grave site at 2. Due to Covid, if attending I would contact the funeral home for any precautions needed.  |
