At the rate we're going here, these may not actually sell out today...

I changed my mind and decided to go for the reverse proof gold. Holy moley was that easy. Either they really fixed the site or a lot of people slept in. I'm curious how many people got thrown off at the last minute time change and will be in for a surprise at noon.

That was painless, I was able to order both silver offerings. I was only going to by the reverse proof but the wife said to get the silver coin and medal set as well.

I do like the joint coin/medal set with The Royal Mint. I was looking at the gold ones but on ebay they are all over the place in terms of prices and not one has sold yet.
I do like the change in time but I feel bad for those living on the west coast as 9am ET is like 6 AM... Which would make ordering coins alot easier and would give those that live on the east cost a HUGE advantage.

I think the mint should start choosing random times to release these products.
I am fine with that.

Or maybe these aren't as popular as expected.
I suspect this is true. Medals fly low for a lot of people. I only started appreciating them in last few years. Then again, the WWII medal was not as easy a purchase to make.

I got the reverse proof gold and like everyone else had no issues. I'll believe it when I have the coin in hand. While I have an order number it still shows processing.

This is why I was on the fence until the last minute. I would've greatly preferred a two-coin silver set.

After a little trouble, I got the silver set. I then bought the reverse proof medal without issue. I'm glad that I didn't buy from The Royal Mint. These are not a bargain in the US, but I really feel bad for our friends in the UK.

Things to consider, for sure.

So would I, but I will be happy with the coin and medal.

Had to place my order 5 times because it kept going to "page not found" on the very last final "Place Order" button. Nothing is sold out after 15 minutes, just us collectors this time I guess. I kind of suspected that, it's not like a V75 American Eagle coin at all.

I was on the fence about buying these. I don't have much interest for my own collection & would have been buying for resale and/or to trade for something I wanted. Looking at ebay presales there didn't seem to be a lot of interest. I hit the website & got everything in my bag......then took them back out again.

This is the first medal I've ever bought, and I actually do really like the design on this one.

With that said, I bought the gold stuff for the value, so I'm hoping that those at least sell out. Otherwise $2,215 was a pretty expensive 3/4 oz. of gold...

I thought the same thing, but after seeing how the non ASE/AGE 75th Anniversary coin/medal (that aren't a part of any collectible sets) took off, I figured this one would, too. Perhaps I should have been tipped off by the fact that I wasn't getting emails from dealers offering to buy this one.

It starts with one...

The silver medal in the 2013 Teddy Roosevelt C&C set was my first.

Looks like gold RP and silver set are gone after 20 minutes.
