Most of the examples I see on this coin are usually very worn and this one caught my attention. It looks in the AU Range. Don't believe it's been cleaned even though it does show lines in various regions of the coin. Need some of you experts to chime in and give your overall opinion on details and whether or not it would grade straight. Before I attempt to buy this coin, assistance is greatly appreciated....Thanks!   |

I'd say AU-53. Possibly lightly cleaned years ago, but nicely retoned and should straight grade.

I appreciate all the comments.
I'm going to apologize here to all of you have commented on this thread. I should have put this just in colonial and classic coins instead of this forum US Classic and Colonial Variety and Error Coins.
It was an oversight.
I will now have this posted where it should be and you may see it again "same format but in the right place"

AU Details cleaned. It looks like an old cleaning that may be market acceptable. It does not appear to have original skin. It has nice eye appeal.
