I would 100% take the dime.
I already have a 1962 nickel that I paid 5c for and I'm more than satisfied with it. I am not egotistical enough to worry about the grading difference.

spruett001 would want the Nickel.

Actually, Full Steps isn't something I'm really concerned with and I'm not a big fan of the spotty toning on that one. The late die stage doesn't help its eye appeal, either. I would take the dime.

It's not the only one, just the highest graded.

"Free" is part of the game.

No way I would or could spend that much for just one coin.

While I would be very excited to own the only 1962 FS JN, it wouldn't belong in my hands. I still have yet to own any coin from the 1700s so I'd probably go for the dime.

Where did the idea that this is the only one come from?

I had originally meant the only one in that grade but messed it up originally. It seems due to that negligence I've created a misconception

So why would you pay $$$$ for this nickel when you could have a proof that is better struck and has full steps? Seems to me you are paying all that money for a little slip of paper.

Proof and circulation are different strike methods, with proofs having the expectation of a high quality strike. I guess this is for those who want the best to be from the unexpected source.

What I meant by "only one" was the only one graded. No doubt there are probably more out there.
