Congratulations chafemasterj ! I'm very happy for you. There are probably many of us who are still looking for that final cent (yes, one of them is me) and there are days when we feel we'll never fill that dusty hole, but you've showed us it can happen, one day . PS: Now that you've won this adventure, what's your next coin-safari hunt for?

Congratulations! That set is a long journey. I have cracked my share of slabs but I didn't crack my 09-S VDB either. And everybody knows the 22 Plain is just a worn die and not part of the set

Congrats!! Always a great feeling completing such an endeavor! Same boat as many others. Can't bring myself to finish yet by purchasing the 22 no D. That last hole drives you crazy

Quote: If I could convince myself that a worn 1922 "weak D" would be good enough I can get down to that last hole. I did the weak for the Dansco. But you don't have to get one for a Whitman :)

well done! I'm in the 'still-need-a-few' boat, hopefully i'll manage to bust a move on it in 2021.

Thank you everyone for the kind words. I can't bring myself to break it out of its slab. Jbuck's suspicions are correct with those two links he posted. I'm going to give it its own matching 5/8" blank Dansco book with the pocket page. Plus that way I can have it in the safety deposit box yet have the rest of my collection at home.
Once I get the pocket page I'll post pictures.
