daltonista Pillar of the Community United States 1058 Posts	Posted 08/26/2021 5:37 pm I had this medal struck to order in June 1960 at the British Exhibition in the New York Coliseum (since replaced by the Jacob Javits Convention Center) on Columbus Circle in Manhattan. Just kidding! Actually, I merely watched it happen at The Royal Mint's booth...can't remember whether they charged me anything for it or just handed them out as souvenirs. (I was in 8th grade then...Oy!) Also picked up the proof-like 1960 Crown (5/-), but that doesn't depict any joint UK-US symbolism like the conjoined flags and the admiring eagle and lion that appear on this medal.
