Mine is $1 small-size US currency.
Starts in the 1928 Series and am currently trying to finish the 1963 and 1969 Series.
Missing the high priced varieties (and that will continue to be the case, I'm sure).

Love stamps !
I actually looked at my old Harris stamp album this weekend, and by look I mean I noticed it is still there. Maybe it is time to open it up and revisit an old friend.

Yeah, I also collect World's fair memorabilia (1851-1982), antique books especially older books with original dust jackets (first editions) or any other book that strikes my fancy. I also have a rock and mineral collection; and I like collecting some other random antiques such as paper ephemera (postcards, trade cards, brochures, pamphlets, some silver, and a few other interesting items, etc.) I even have all my legos from when I was a kid . So yep, I hit all kinds of antique shops, thrift stores, etc to find what I like.

I still have my old Harris Ambassador stamp album. The last stamps that went into it was when US First Class stamps were still 13 cents. Mid-70s.

The US Postal service killed the hobby by making self adhesive stamps.

my hobbies usually cross over to one another

making beer (raspberry ale shown)
wood working (kegerator shown)
metal working (de-stiller shown)

Q: is there a common theme perhaps?

A: YES, and they are all responsible for some poor coin purchases (among many other bad decisions!)

Photography. Yes that includes coin photography, though ususally I don't post pictures from the camera here. They're too large (over 300KB which is the limit here)
and it's easier using my phone.

I also take pictures when I'm going on walks (I don't bring my camera often there), in the mountains and some city pics.

I'm a photographer and do lots of lightning photography. I've had a few shots shown on The Weather Channel over the years. Most shots I do are long exposure, but I can still get the occasional handheld snapshot! It's always fun to see if you can click quick enough to capture a bolt before the last of the follow up strikes fade.

Mine probably dates to 1983-1984. I used to get stamps on approval from something like Littleton does with coins. I cannot recall the name, but those approvals stopped the same time Littleton did and for the same reason (we moved).

Does the habitual nagging of my wife about wanting coins count a separate hobby from actually collecting them?

- Thanks, My wife's favorite Numisnerd.
