As an update......tomorrow makes 6 weeks. I received an email from my help request. The last scan was 7/5 in the Baltimore plant but has not yet arrived in the delivery unit. So it has been right here in Baltimore for about a month waiting to get to the delivery unit.

I will probably bring down the wrath of the numismatic gods by saying this, but 2021 continues to be OK for me for packages coming from abroad.
Hold onto your seats for this one ... last week I received on Friday (7/31) in Ohio a package that had been entered into the system in Vienna on Sunday afternoon, 7/25!
Days in transit for my last six registered letters from Europe (covering packages originating in Poland, Germany, Lithuania, Austria): 8, 9, 8, 15, 13, 6.
(presumably all routed far away from Baltimore ).

The Post Service announced that rates will be going up and mail delivery will "start" to slow down. The worst service I have seen is on items I order out of Illinois.

Sent priority 2 day from a dealer in texas on July 19th. I've still yet to receive it and no update since July 21st

My last three silver purchases were stolen from the U. S. Mail. I no longer order or make deals for silver that has to be delivered. A sad statement on Today's Postal service.  |

I find it odd that a thread about a government entity receives more views and replays to threads that have to do with genuine numismatic interests. I thought politics was off limits here. Perhaps a new forum should be created for mailing problems. Sorry, I do not understand the massive response to off topic exchange. While my and others inquiries get no or few responses. So this is the hot topic?

Tomorrow will make 8 weeks since a shipment of coins was mailed from Hungary and over 6 weeks since it arrived at the Baltimore Plant but just has not made it to the delivery unit. I talked to a customer service rep and she said to put another help request in which in turn re-opens the one I put in about 3 weeks ago. Let's see what happens.
