Quote:Overstruck on either a Walking Liberty or Franklin half dollar. This one has to have been a Walker, I can see some lettering and a few of the sun rays. Unexpected to see original details on a Carr overstrike so clearly; from the pics I've seen, usually they're a lot more hidden than that.

Quote:Did anyone get the 1936 Proof Peace dollar? Seems I am just too late... I was too late also, I literally looked at it on my phone and went to the laptop to order and it sold out.. I was able to pick up this one though. MMXXII (2022) Winged Saint-Gaudens Ultra High Relief, 34mm, 999 Silver 1 troy oz. Augustus Saint-Gaudens' original sketch for his iconic Double Eagle design featured a Winged Liberty figure holding a shield. Using as much of the sculpture as possible from an actual coin, the relief was increased and wings, shield, and stars were added by Daniel Carr. This concept shows what the original version might have looked like if carried to fruition. Good morning and have a great day!

Good morning all, 2005 W Nickel No nickels in 2005 had the W mint mark, the Monticello reverse or Jefferson facing forward. It wasn't until February 27th 2020 that the West Point minted proof nickels would be available with the purchase of the 2020 proof set.

2016 Michigan 25c nickel Movie Prop, defiantly a fantasy coin. Made for the 2017 Netflix movie Coin Heist, 3 types were made, Type 1 and 2 (not pictured) had the obverse of the Washington State Quarter design based on John Flanagan's original. Type 1 had the reverse with Dan's design with 1 fin on the back of the fish. Type 2 had the reverse with 2 fins on the back of the fish. Type 3 (pictured) had the fish with 1 fin on the obverse and the reverse had the 2 finned fish. Mintage of the type 3 was about 200. Have a good day and enjoy! Joe

1908 S V.D.B. For those that don't know, no Lincoln cents were minted until 1909. Enjoy and have a good day!

1964 Morgan It's common knowledge that the 1964 D Peace dollar really did exist, if only for a short time. Did you know a Morgan dollar was also considered for 1964? In July of 2015 While on a behind the scenes tour of the Philadelpha mint Dennis Tucker of Whitman Publishing, Q. David Bowers also of Whitman, John Dannreuther researcher and co-founder of PCGS and David Sundman president of Littleton Coin Company rediscovered master dies and galvanos hubs for a 1964 Morgan dollar. Unlike the '64 D Peace dollar no Morgans that anyone is aware of were struck. But if it was.. Have a good day and enjoy! Joe (Resources: The Great Google Box)
