Thanks Chase! Certainly up there with some of the best varieties one can own IMO. Clearest DDO you'll ever see besides the 1955.

Great addition!

I'd argue with ya here though. I'd say the 69-S and 70-S DDOs are just as strong generally.

Thanks all! GC you've got a fair point. The 1970-S has a smaller spread though and the devices are not nearly as separate but it's a strong DDO and it's up there for sure. 1969-S is visible without magnification but I can't see the 1970-S being so easy to see without a loupe.

About the 1958 DDO-001 and the 1969-S DDO. They maybe stronger than this one? Time to make a side by side.

There are also a couple of strong DDO on 1971 proof cents. But the direction is different on these:

Yes, beautiful coin. Another thing that makes it nice is that it is copper. You won't have to worry about zinc rot!

Thanks VestigeWolf! Zinc rot really is a downer but corrosion/Verdi can be just as bad. At least corrosion can be helped by some Verdi-care. Nice SBS coop. Those 1971 proof DDOs are high on my list to cherry-pick and have been for a while. Super rare so it'll be a real tough find but hopefully someday I'll get lucky enough to find one of those lurking in a proof set.
