Every now and then I like to post a nice coin that I've found in bank rolls, just a good looking coin with a nice strike. Not too bad for a 42 year old coin. I usually run across similar coins about two or three per box. 1982 P small date slider.

Very nice -makecents-, I was also surprised with the bunch I have also been looking thru. So many of the older dates were in beautiful condition. If I get time to get a pic I got a 65 Lincoln out of my rolls that was a beauty. Enjoy the hunt

Thanks guys! Peanut26, I had someone explain to me how to save these types of coins in labeled tubes and then go back and cull them every so often. The more you search, the more you realize how nice a coin is and you will find that some of your early keepers were not all that fantastic. Here is a pic of how I save these types of coins.

Yes, you'll need more tubes. Many more. At one point I had several hundred tubes...all filled.

That 2006 is nice. I keep looking but nothing for 2006 has popped up for me. I like the 2022 DDR as well. Obvious thickness and "notching" on the left side of the initials. The numbers in date sure are "thin". (I'm glad I proof-read my reply. Initially I typed "pooped up for me." )

Nice finds -makecents-, I don't trust myself to identify the sheild cent varieties. I have looked at photos of the varieties thus far but some are so subtle that my eyes can't focus on them. I will be posting some eventually to clarify, if I can get a clear photo.
