@saturnD51, I can definitely listen to news while checking out coins but for some reason can't focus well while going through coin rolls. That said the news has been nothing but grim for a while so I have been avoiding it. But will listen to podcasts etc.
Edit:I'll have to go through the last few pages to make sure I haven't missed anything but I'm now accepting requests again for music that helps you focus while dabbling in the hobby. Iv had some crazy assortments from orchestral to Japanese metal to the Russian anthem I believe lol.
It's been quiet here for a while, I have some coins I'll be going through in the next week or two, as well as a box of quarters. I almost never do quarters but decided to give it a shot. I have my son's birthday this weekend and then off to the cottage the next weekend, Africa for two weeks after that.
If I missed a song or if you have a suggestion shoot it my way. There was a lot of interesting music shared and I was having a great time with thread when I had more free time.
If anything this thread poll/thread should be fused with my roll hunting find thread and many others because I was listing to music posted to me on this thread.
Music is my crutch, better to do something with it then without(other then a serious conversation).
I have a NEW (for me, anyway) musician that's taken over my mind. This is Leo M. He does metal covers of popular songs and does them well! He also seems to be the HAPPIEST human on Earth. He's from Norway and tours under the name Frog Leap.
Check him out if you like really strong metal music. He's done hundreds of videos with new releases most Fridays.

Dosnt matter the genre, dosnt matter the country(I prefer to know the words to the song though). I'll give anything song or artist a try.
I haven't shared much of my own music choices in here much either.. currently iv been enjoying this, it's a long live concert but my favorite songs is at 34:05-38:53(I can't post the time stamp) it's an old concert but a good one.
To be honest, I don't listen to music when I'm concentrating on something - I find myself paying more attention to the music than to what I'm doing. I discovered that years ago when I first worked in an open-office environment, and I thought music would help reduce the distractions. But, no, I'd find myself staring out the window while listening to my favorite tunes .

Here's a wired fact... They did a study with doctors to see performance with music... Turns out doctors are faster and do a better job when listing to songs like "highway to hell" or other rock songs, wired right?(true fact look it up if you don't believe me)
To each there own but I find some music distracts me while other music can make me more focused and accurate. This is the whole point of this thread, what music can do what for me specifically.
Many rock songs like heavy metal screamo etc I can't listen to and focus but others are awesome. I guess.its my goal here to find the ultimate energizing yet helps focus song. There is millions if not billions of songs out there and I'm willing to listen to every single one to find out!......including the Russian anthem
