Unknown news about the lynx. The lynx that was taken as a model for the coin is not just any lynx, her name was Saliega and she was the first Iberian lynx that was a mother in captivity. Saliega was very important for the recovery process of this species, the rarest feline in the world.
Rumors say that it is being studied, but the FNMT has not officially confirmed anything. This year it is only certain that there will be 1/10 gold bull and 1 ounce gold horse. They have to be officially released around June.
There is one seller on ebay that has an interesting pricing method.
He has sold 9 since early Nov. Price then was $2140 with spot at $1635 so a whopping premium of $500. There have been only 2 price bumps, +$40 to $2180 and just now +$20 to $2200 since then but gold has rallied nearly $300. So the premium has absorbed most of the gains in spot and is now +$250. On ebay, krugerrands are about +$105 and Buffalos are about +$175.
I bought one 2022 Spain bull reverse proof on ebay a while back. I think it's a beautiful coin and that four images security feature is cool. Unfortunately the one I got was scuffed and scratched. See the left hemisphere. Damage is on coin not the capsule. I expect some imperfections with bullion, but this coin is intended to have some collector value, 15K mintage, wanted it to look better. I sent it back for refund.
Occasionally I've had to send coins back to US Mint due to damage as well. Anytime you buy a coin from sellers using stock photos you may get a good one or a damaged one. I mostly only buy from sellers that offer returns/refunds.
