Indeed, collecting common large crown sized silver coins (including US Morgan and Peace $) is a rewarding and financially prudent thing to do- most of these could be acquired not much above their melt value. Anyone starting collecting coins would be well advised to do this until they learn enough to start procuring more expensive coins.
