Quote: Great price on that lovely medal - hope to hear a bit on the backstory. Congrats to Spence on the round win. There's not too much to tell except it is one of my 40 or so different Heraldic Art Medals. Some are quite common, at least they are always available it seems. They get about $20-25 each if they sell at all. Some have some rather less interesting subject matter, at least to me. Some are rarely offered for sale, some like this Thanksgiving so-called half dollar are offered but usually in lesser condition and for up to $30 more than I paid. It's a "tougher" issue to find. Sometimes I waited a couple few months waiting for reasonable nice issues that interested me, There are about 66 in a complete set. Also there are a few variations and a few special issues by the man who struck them in Cleveland Ohio. Robert McNamara. Mintages vary but on average, a few thousand of each. I just love that wild turkey on the reverse. When I saw this I am sure I couldn't "Buy it Now" fast enough or I bid a lot higher and got lucky. I don't remember. The rest of the set, I don't care to pursue them all, but there are a couple yet I'd like to get.
