Day 211The bank would only give me $100 worth of dollar coins to noodle today and unsurprisingly there were no letter coins at all. Unless you count the B mint mark on this 1996 Henry Parkes $1 : Total number of one dollar coins noodled: 29080 Number of different circulation coins found: 133/134 2019 A-Z coins found: 25/26 2021 A-Z coins found: 26/26 2022 A-Z coins found: 26/26 NCLT coins found: 25 Mule dollars found: 1

Day 214Noodled 27 rolls of dollar coins. Plenty of 2022 letter coins but no 2019. Highlight was this 1995 MOR, by far the best condition example I've found in 13 years of noodling. Total number of one dollar coins noodled: 29620 Number of different circulation coins found: 133/134 2019 A-Z coins found: 25/26 2021 A-Z coins found: 26/26 2022 A-Z coins found: 26/26 NCLT coins found: 25 Mule dollars found: 1

Day 227Noodled 50 rolls of dollar coins. Quote: It looks as though you were very lucky to come across this coin as according to the latest RAM report only 1000 have been released so far! Found another five 2022 MORs, so I guess there are only another 994 out there for other people to find. Also found this NCLT 1993 Landcare C mint mark coin: Still looking for 2019 W for Weetbix. Total number of one dollar coins noodled: 30620 Number of different circulation coins found: 133/134 2019 A-Z coins found: 25/26 2021 A-Z coins found: 26/26 2022 A-Z coins found: 26/26 NCLT coins found: 26 Mule dollars found: 1

Maybe you should do what I did once and get coins from a bank branch that is a bit further away from the branches you usually get coins from. I call this a bank run and I went on one when I was collecting Twenty Cents. My idea was that if I went to different branches and got coins, my chances of getting the coins I didn't have would change. And believe it or not, that actually worked. Maybe it would work for you?

I've often wondered what distances coins travel between depositing, rolling, and re-issuing at a branch. I guess it depends on where the coin sorting facilities are. Also heard that Armaguard has taken over Prosegur in Oz.

Doesn't Armaguard supply CBA and NAB (maybe Suncorp)? and Prosegur supplies Westpac and its sister branches? But either way, Armaguard is definitely working for me in terms of weird finds. So far the weird finds I've found (by roll) are: FIVE CENTS: Too many NZ 5c A 1979 Malaysian 10 Sen (yes sen, not cent) A 1984 10 centimes from Switzerland (how on earth that got in despite not having a milled edge is beyond me) A 1969 and 2013 Fiji 5 cents (not actually in a roll, the 1969 was in my wallet when I first started collecting and the 2013 I found in the reject chute of a coin count machine) TEN CENTS: Too many New Zealand 10c (both the One Shilling and post 1969 versions. I did find a 2000 10c that I have a slight feeling is a mule. @Princetane can you help me out?) A 1 dirham coin from the United Arab Emirates (I think it has a 1mm difference in thickness) A five cent lodged onto one end Twenty Cents: WAY too many pre-1990 20 cent coins (if this was the 1960s with the amount of NZ 20c I have, I could go to like 50+ restaurants/cafes for a decent meal) A New Zealand FLORIN from 1962 ( darn it if only it were silver) A Fijian 20 cent from 1973 A whole bunch of NCLT from 2015 and 2018 FIFTY CENTS: A very oxidised Fijian 50 cent from 1975 A bunch of NCLT from 2018 What about youse?

Quote: Maybe you should do what I did once and get coins from a bank branch that is a bit further away from the branches you usually get coins from. Good idea OzCollection. My biggest problem at the moment is that now I'm down to noodling $1 and $2 I don't get many coins for $500 or even $1000. Quote: Too many New Zealand Yes, there's plenty of kiwi coins in circulation in Australia. In regards to one dollar coins I occasionally find Solomon Islands $2 coins amongst them:
