Day 438Noodled $1000 worth of dollar coins today. Found a decent haul of 2019 A-Zers but not that darn W. The highlight was this 2001 Centenary of Federation coin upset to 9 o'clock. The lowlight were these PMD "mower coins" someone has taken the time and effort to polish up. Maybe he thought they would pass more easily as "rare errors". Total number of one dollar coins noodled: 46060 Number of different circulation coins found: 133/137 NCLT coins found: 38 Mule dollars found: 2

Day 480Today's noodling session didn't start well. This was in the very first roll of dollar coins I opened: Things improved slightly when I found this reasonable 2000 MOR: (these are notoriously hard to find in any kind of decent condition) Then I came across this little beauty: (too bad it wasn't in the condition of the MOR above) That's right, having noodled 1 roll short of fifty thousand dollar coins, I've now found 3 mule dollars and not a single 2019 Weetbix coin. By the way, I also found plenty of 2023 AFL and AFLW coins so at least I crossed one coin off my list. No sign of any Matlidas yet. Total number of one dollar coins noodled: 49980 Number of different circulation coins found: 135/141 NCLT coins found: 39 Mule dollars found: 3

Day 550Hard to find anything I'm looking for amongst the second wave of 2021 Donation Dollars that has hit lately. Very educative thread. Keep it going, - I need the pictorial information.
I have only ever made the effort to extract from pocket change, whatever I find different and interesting. Have been doing this for about 5 years, just as a kid would do.
No proactive noodling, but across all decimal denominations, not just dollar coins.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Easy enough to build a type set of pre decimal coins, noodling through dealers' junk boxes at coin shows. only scarce type is Melbourne Centenary Florin, have to pay a bit for one of those.
Both types of collections are good for an interested grand kid to continue with.

Day 553Having named this thread "The Big Noodle" I suppose I had better muster some enthusiasm about the 2023 Big Things series of dollar coins. Today's find: The Big Jumping Crocodile, out of Wak Wak (which I believe is in the Northern Territory) Of course, these coins have the RIP Lizzie obverse: Total number of one dollar coins noodled: 57820 Number of different circulation coins found: 141/151 NCLT coins found: 42 Mule dollars found: 3
