I call them pennies and they are the main focus of my life study. Of course they are cents, but I don't use that word unless descrbing them by series - Lincoln Cent, Indian Head cent. You would NEVER hear me say " Lincoln Penny". Anyone who makes a point of correcting the term is a little overboard.

I think we need to start saying "A cent saved is a cent earned" and "A cent fot your thoughts" that's my two pennies worth. It's all a bit centsless. By the way, I've been collecting them for a couple years now and still can't decide whether to call them "nickel 3 cents" or "3 cent nickels". It occurred to me this morning that this is the only denomination of coin the U.S has issued where you cant have a pile of them that equals exactly a buck. OK, sorry, I'm rambling...

Back when they were in change, they were called 'nickels' - most people now call them ' Three Cent Nickels'. It's our own doing that forces us to ASSUME that the word 'nickel' automatically means 'five cents'.

Actually diet drinks dump harmful chemicals into your body that do more harm than sugar. If soda is the drink of choice you do yourself a lot more good just drinking the ones that have sugar in them. I drink Dr. Pepper when I do drink soda.

Unfortunately, most soda drinks use a lot of chemicals for flavoring and you need to step up to the gourmet blends. I'm not a big soda drinker but I like root beer. Some of the best stuff I tasted is Bulldog's and Virgil's. Be ready to spend about $1-$1.50 per 12 ounce glass bottle though.
