Just bought this 1952 Fiji halfpenny. These coins are drastically undervalued in Krause. They are very hard to find in the UK - maybe there are cheap trays full of them in Fiji?  |

I think this is the right forum to post in since this coin was an acquisition via an auction. It was in a bag of mixed coins that I bid on as a sort of 'Lucky Dip' (I think it adds to the thrill of the hunt). Anyway I found this 1966 2c with a clipped planchet. Not in the best condition but I'm happy to have found it and it's a keeper. I guess after deducting the 'value' of the other coins this one would have cost between $4 to $7 (depending on how some of the other coins are valued). I think it was worth the gamble anyway.   |

Excellent acquisition, SallyG! Well worth the cost. It should clean up a bit with an acetone soak and VerdiCare.
