My question is does anyone know when they will announce the 2024 Women's Quarters?

Here are the honorees for the 2024 American Women Quarters:
Depictions of Patsy Takemoto Mink, Dr. Mary Edwards Walker, Pauli Murray, Zitkala-Ša, and Celia Cruz will appear on the reverse (tails side) of the 2024 quarters.

And on a more selfish level, the one design for 32-98 fit into ONE Dansco album! For these others, I need two for the states, one for territories, two for the parks and one for the women. If they average $40 a piece that is another $240 just to house them.

yeah, getting tired of all the changes and new versions all the time. feels kind of like 'everyone gets a metal' [sic] at this point.
the whitmans book sucks too. "honoree" ...ok. better off just putting in blank pages.

2022-2025 American Women Quarter Dollar Coin Program, Reverse designs for five coins to be issued in 2024. Final.

In its public meeting of 16 February conducted by videoconference, the Commission of Fine Arts reviewed design alternatives for the five reverse designs in the American Women Quarter Dollar Coin Program for issue in 2024. Images: https://www.cfa.gov/system/files/me...ortfolio.pdf

The Commission provided the following recommendations and guidance for the designs:

Celia Cruz. Consistent with the preference of Ms. Cruz's estate representative, the Commission members recommended alternative CC-R-01, commenting that her prominence as a salsa singer is best conveyed by the lively composition, the microphone in her hand, and her distinctive Spanish-language phrase, "ˇAzůcar!"

Rev. Dr. Pauli Murray. Consistent with the preference of Dr. Murray's estate representative, the Commission members recommended alternative PM-R-02 with the inclusion of the pendant cross as seen in alternative PM-R-02A. They cited the strength of the portrait and the powerful quotation on PM-R-02, which conveys Dr. Murray's energetic advocacy for civil rights.

Patsy Takemoto Mink. Consistent with the preference of the family liaison, the Commission members recommended alternative PTM-05, citing the dignified portrait and the inscription "Equity in Education," which will be more widely understood than "Title IX" as a reference to her most notable legislative work.

Zitkala-Ša. Consistent with the preference of the family liaisons, the Commission members recommended alternative ZS-03B, which conveys a determined expression in the portrait, as well as the symbols of a cardinal and a book, which refer to her Lakota name and to her literary achievements.

Dr. Mary Edwards Walker. The Commission members recommended combining the portrait of alternative MEW-02—the preference of Dr. Walker's family representative—with the layout of alternative MEW-03A, which they said provides a better composition and a simpler depiction of the Medal of Honor. They commented that the inscription "Civil War Surgeon" and the nearly full-length portrait in MEW-03A better illustrate her profession and era.

The Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) will hold a two-day public meeting beginning Feb. 28 to review and discuss these candidate designs for multiple medals and coins, like the 2024 quarters honoring American women and the collaborate U.S. and UK 2024 gold coin and silver medal. The meeting on Feb. 28th is from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. while the one on March 1 is from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (EST). Anyone interested may dial in to listen to the meeting at (888) 330-1716 and using access code: 1137147.

For members of the public, this meeting is for "listen purposes only" — no comments or questions will be taken, and phones must be muted.

Interesting designs - some - use of negative space - some.

Good to see the family representatives wishes having some weight.

Anybody else think that if they present 9 designs, there really isn't a lot of consensus among the artists?

"I am honored to announce the final designs of the 2024 American Women's Quarters Program," said Mint Director Ventris C. Gibson... https://news.coinupdate.com/united-...ogram-coins/

You can see the designs clicking on each of the 2024 quarters to see the final choices. As usually stated, waiting for final quarters in hand as they may differ a bit from line art as shown but feel free to comment as usual.

Biographical details for Dr. Mary Walker
What an incredible American - and I had never heard of her!
Quote from Dr. Walker:
"I have got to die before people will know who I am and what I have done. It is a shame that people who lead reforms in this world are not appreciated until after they are dead; then the world pays its tributes,"
