Great pics, everyone! It's crazy to see the human behind the name. SsuperDdave, you surprise me the most. As far as the annual haircut, I'm on a slightly longer cycle in that area. I'm at about shoulder length right now, but it's winter, so not the right time to go short. I don't have any pics of myself on my phone (because I'm not narcissistic ), but I may have to find something to post here.

I grew up in a cold climate - Vermont and nearby Upstate New York - and wearing hair long in the winter & short in the summer has been a lifelong habit. There's no better insulator. That much hair and a drawn-tight hood is good for anything short of "need a balaclava and goggles now" weather.

Great pictures everybody!
@CoinMom4, my wife's grandmother was a Rosie the Riveter in the early 40's in Richmond Ca. Great pic!

I've never liked a picture that I have been in and really don't understand the whole concept behind selfies'. However, like many of you I like putting a face to a name. So here is my only selfie ever taken, and probably the last lol. I decided to put on my riding vest a few months ago since I haven't worn it sence my Harley was stolen 5 years ago. I seemed to have put on a little weight as I barely was able to snap the buttons. And to think that I use to ware it over my riding jacket. Oh yeah, my hair has been long since 1980 and with the exception of two trims a year, I have not had a "hair cut" for 38 years

I'd have something like that, Dennman, except I can't grow one.

I trimmed back my full beard in the early '80s. If I were to grow one now I fear children would be telling me what they want for Christmas (factoring in my current circumference)...

I have great fun at Christmas when I'm out and about shopping.Get many stares from young children.I just hold my index finger to my lips, gently shiss and smile at them.
I had one mother track me down to tell me her young son thought I looked like Cy from Duck Dynasty.

When I was 10 I pictured myself growing old with long white hair and beard standing 6' 5" like a tall whimsical wizard appearing wise and majestic. I just haven't reached that right age or amount of wisdom required to be as one.

Lol! Never thought about it but there is some resemblance there.
The portrait below is of my 9th great grandfather born in 1515. My three children think I look just like him especially if my hair was short and I lose the shades

Or ad shades and a hat
