Slowly making progress with the posting.
MachinMachinMan's parcel was sent yesterday.
mcshilling and 12319588's parcels with declared "Gaming Tokens" are ready to take to the post office.
I'll prepare some more parcels over the weekend and hopefully get them all sent off on Monday.
I could have this all wrong, but how weird is Australia Post. It prohibits the delivery of coins, banknotes or bullion to international destinations (anywhere), full stop!
Yet the US will permit imports of gold coins, currency, medals and bullion, etc up to $10,000 as long as it is declared, and over that, heck yeah, just fill out a FINCEN 105 and your good to go.
Seems a light fingered AusPost employee was helping him/her self to money in the mail and now they're covering their butts.

Look what I got in the mail today...    My scanner doesn't do justice to the bronze coins, I never imagined I'd ever own such a nice 1925 penny (the 1946 and 1931 are not to be sneezed at either) Can't wait to look at the rest of the pennies when I get some natural light. I will be filling many vacant slots in my penny album.  Thanks ttkoo, you have been unbelievably generous.  |
