Actually, I was thinking of proof versions of the 1973 Isle of Man circulating coinage, NumisRob. But if you say they are none...

Nice coins, NumisEd! That Reunion 10 Francs is really cool.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Two new additions for my Birthyear Set collection: a 50 Mils coin from Cyprus (1973) and a 5 Paisa coin from Nepal (1973).

Thanks Hondo and Coinfrog. But why do you think it is curious?

What a great thread and excellent area of focus. 1973 is an especially good year for proof sets as several countries had the Franklin Mint produce their proofs and the quality is fantastic - probably one of the highest quality proofs sets made in the 20th century. But love the variety of coins from high VG to Au as well as Mint Uncs. Offers a great panorama and very educational. Plus over time it will be a great keeper to pass on (I do hope you have younger people interested in it).
