Congrats to @flag4. Here are details on this coin.
This Buffalo nickel was purchased via online auction. It is very clearly the two-feather variety but was unattributed. The grade estimate is high AU (although I, like many others, have trouble grading Buffaloes.) The purchase price is close to retail for a standard 1916. I've started putting together a set of the two-feather varieties and they can get pricey, especially so for certain year/MM combos. This is one of the easier examples to find and could sell for 2-3 times what I paid if holdered. So, is it a cherry-pick? Perhaps a slight one.
