Good round triggersmob. It's hard to search for something when you can't describe it in words.

Ok, the next round has begun...

Snippet 1:

Name-That-Coin.--Daily-Coin-Snippet.

The "warm" 1988 date helped a lot.

1989 UK Bill of Rights 2 pound

Well, you had me completely off track there, @triggersmob, trying to match that sceptre to the CN Tower. Good choice for a confusatory search through many Numista pages.

And now I have also refreshed my British history knowledge with the Bill of Rights, Mary and William and their elegant monogram!

I jumped the gun at first, until I noticed there were a lot of the same design, but I'm 100% confident that this is Oz's coin. I think she even borrowed her snippet from Numista.

Name-That-Coin.--Daily-Coin-Snippet.

Everyone noticed how you can rotate the images on Numista to any angle to get just the right snippet. Couldn't do that with my pic With the software on my computer.

So yes that snippet is from Numista's pic of a Portugal 200 escudos 50th Anniversary of UN. This image had the best snippet common to a lot of those 1995 UN commemoratives.

The coin I was playing was the Kazakhstan 20 tenge:

Name-That-Coin.--Daily-Coin-Snippet.

Name-That-Coin.--Daily-Coin-Snippet.

So I guess the "win" has to go to triggersmob for his great detective work.

Anyone else think the wrong person is using the Sherlock Holmes avatar?

Can't say I have noticed. I just use the Phots program on Wndows 10 and that seems to work ok for me .
