kbbpll: No PBS that I remember. We read a LOT of real books. I would read my Mom's Red Books, cover to cover. We only had 1 TV and until 1968 it was B&W too.

I wanted to also mention that we didn't have cell phones. The phones that we did have cost us for long distance.

This sure makes me sound antiquated! Nope, I have bigger "toys" now.
