A couple new additions over the past few weeks. 1901-O - Formerly PCGS VF-25 1908-D - Formerly PCGS F-15. While this is a more available one, finding a quality example proved to be tricky for me.

I have picked up random Barbers over the years. I used to think it was a boring design. I read more about Barber and I acquired a better appreciation of his work. I developed a better understanding of the process of his patterns and designs leading to the adoption for production. His early designs were fantastic. The designs that were not approved were some of the best classical compositions our coinage would have had. The Walking Liberty half and Standing Liberty quarter were praised for their classical elements when they replaced the Barber designs. While Barber was the creator of the design, he was not the approver. He had to make modifications which lead to approval. Check out some of his designs that were not approved and you will have a better appreciation of his work. Now I have almost completed my collection of Barber halves, Quarters and Dimes.

For clarification. I know Barber did not design the Walking Liberty and Standing Liberty coins. I was just brain dumping when I typed my post. I was trying to point out the had it been up to Barber the designs would have been the equal of the Walkers and Standing Liberty designs.
