Thanks for $25.00 jbuck. If I win I will split it with you. You know how old people are and can't remember the rules.

Congratulations to SaturnD51 for the round win - and season leader! That appears to be an unexpected price for some of us - would enjoy hearing the backstory from bd251 Many thanks to you jbuck for your tremendous hosting skills - I'm in the middle of hosting my own contest using your format and I say to all - it's a lot of work to keep up with the details.

Quote: That appears to be an unexpected price for some of us - would enjoy hearing the backstory from bd251 Apparently I overpaid according to ccf. You might be right as there's nothing particularly special about this compared with other Lloyd's Weekly tokens. When I saw this piece, I was instantly drawn to the interesting, attributable counterstamp, which is something I'd been wanting in my collection for a while. The counterstamp on the thick rim of the cartwheel penny was visually pleasing to me compared with those done on newer coins or on less-worn cartwheel pennies, where original legends were still visible, so the rim was not used.
