Not even close to the outstanding quality of some of the coins posted in this thread but thought I would share a bit of history. I was an odd young kid and around 1965 (I was 10 years old) I spent all my spare time mowing peoples lawns in the neighborhood at $1 a mow if they provided the mower or $1.50 if I had to drag mine over. My father (bless his soul, great mentor that he was) told me that now that the government was taking the silver out of coins, the older coins were going to be worth more than face value so I took all my earning every week down to the local bank and bought rolls of half dollars and hunted though them for Walking Liberty halves, which were still in circulation back then.
These three Whitman albums were put together from circulation using my yardwork money and any other money I could come up with. Not bad for a 10 year old kid.

That's a wonderful story Jfransch! Thank you for posting it. You have a lovely collection of Walkers and how you collected them is most admirable! Great for a 10 year old or even a master collector!

Great to see Jfransch's lovely collection and AcesKing's gorgeous 1943S!

I'll bring the average grade down again with my 1920-D:

I only have a small handful of Walkers and they are all high mileage. This is my 1943 Philly. This is a series I have yet to really look into yet.
