I thought I had found an unlisted Columbian so-called dollar but after exchanging e-mails with Jeff Shevlin I realized since it's an advertising piece it's not eligable to be a so-called dollar. Still a cool piece and unlisted in any reference as far as I can tell.

Souvenir token minted at the U.S. Pavilion of the Paris Exposition Internationale in 1900. This was quite an exposition - too much to describe here. For further information on it, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expos...selle_(1900)

Neat piece! Thanks for sharing!

Is it white metal? Aluminum?

commems, I believe it's brass. The obverse is "silvered", but the reverse is much darker than my poor picture suggests.

@Hondo_Boguss: I did a little digging...the brass version of the medal on Numista appears to be just one of the metallic compositions used for the piece. Per PCGS, the medal was also struck in zinc, aluminum, copper-nickel and copper.

Does yours feel light enough to be aluminum?
