I ended buying non-quarter dollar silver proofs in 2019 with the switchover to .999 silver. To me, the 2018-S reverse proofs have a double meaning. The 50th anniversary of proofs at the SF mint AND the end of coin silver. The silver proof quarters I ended in 2021 with the end of ATB just to finish the series.

To me, 2019 to date are bullion coins, which are boring and overpriced.

I love the history and tradition of 90 pct coin silver. It dates back to 1837 or so, but it's now history.

So I just collect CuNi clad proofs instead, since they represent the current circulating metal.

I'm got one because I'm a creature of habit. I like to open the package and see how beautifully executed the proofs are and then package them back up again, throw them in a box in the deep, dark recesses of a closet and never see them again for maybe 20 years. Yeah, I'm an idiot.

I'll keep buying them until the day I decide to unload my entire collection (before I die, hopefully)

I was going to pass on the 2023 Silver Proof Set because of the higher price. But, I changed my mind and ordered 3 sets on 9/22 but they are still on back order with no estimated shipping date.
