Petespockets55 Pillar of the Community United States 5775 Posts	Posted 08/09/2023 5:15 pm Thanks, everyone. It was a great deal. I don't actively look for FE's, but they are interesting. For such a short series there are many varieties and multiple mule varieties. I was in a local pawn shop that had two FE in the case, an 1857 & 1858. They wanted $35 for each. I noticed that I could see sharp details on one even though it was at knee height in the case. I actually thought this one might be a fake it looked so nice from that distance. I had to be careful not to be too excited as I looked at both of them so the price wouldn't jump. I know from seeing them at auction from time to time this was a fantastic deal so I scooped it up. Nickelsearcher, you made me panic with yours being the first guess and so close to my cost. I thought maybe I got it wrong and didn't get a good deal. Congratulations on the round win Mr. FE Savant.
