SilverDon,

Just for fun my two CNA "medals". The 1976 I got myself, the 1958 came from my grandfather. I ran out of free saves on the optimizer so only one side of the 1976.

Sorry, forgot I had another. All from Ottawa. Note the die cracks on either side of the crest.

Yes ......

I read somewhere that all of the 1955 medals are like this. Apparently the private Ottawa mint that made them reused an old die from some other Ottawa medals

The "encased" 2021 wooden token was given only to those who sailed on the Bluenose II. Total mintage was 37. The numismatic gods were kind to us - the day dawned looking stormy but cleared with the sun coming out and the fog burning off to give us a beautiful afternoon and calm seas for sailing.

Neat sample slab for the convention. These were for sale at the registration desk. I believe there were approx. 100 sets.

I love the Encased Coin! I am very keen on these.

I was lucky to pick one up that was offered on ebay last week.

It would have been special to get one while on the Bluenose. But I did go on it once maybe 15 years back.....got seasick.....not sure even an Encased Coin would get me back on!
