No offense given I hope - but let me explain.
If the owner of the coin comes into the thread while the guesses are active and gives any identifying info such as 'it's in a lovely NGC MS63 holder' or 'it's the more desirable
DDR variety' etc then the information could potentially benefit the players who come along later while those who guessed earlier are now at an information disadvantage.
It's simply about keeping the playing field level - but heck this is just a game so really no hard feelings and do as what fits you!

I doubt it - think of baseball and its rules. There are hundreds of unwritten rules that govern the conduct of the players. This is one of them for GTP.
