You know, I am probably one of the biggest bashers as it pertains to all the RCM crap they put out, but I must go on record and say, I love the yearly 4 dollar dinosaur coins they release. Link below of last years.
I saw in the Canadian Coin news that Gatewest Coins out of Winnipeg is selling the 2009 version. I said to myself, Ill order it right from the Mint. Would you believe the Mint doesn't even have it updated on their site?
I went back to Gatewest's web site, and when I purchased it, a pop up window advised me that if I order this coin, I get free shipping of my entire order. Thats a nice change I must say.

Yea I like them too. I know all kids like dinosaurs, but all my kids are grown up with no kids of their own right now.
It would be the perfect gift for a kid for show and tell. Guess I'm a kid at heart. I like the idea that no 2 coins are alike.
Heres a link to the one I just bought...the 3rd one of the 4 coin series. Remember free shipping for your entire order if you buy this. I just got an email from Canada post that it shipped yesterday..2 days after ordering it.I hope they come up with a presentation box for the entire 4 coin set.

Hi,
I went to a nice coin show today in Cambridge Ontario, and low and behold when I got there, one of the dealers had the 2010 and final installment of this 4 coin series..
On another note, 2 of the dealers there told me, that if you have the very 1st coin that was released in this series, that delars are now offering 75 bucks for it.
(The 2009 Montral Canadian commerative is now selling for 160 bucks. (Man I wish I bought that)

The 2010 Dromaeosaurus Silver Proof $4 Coin is now out. It's the fourth and last coin in the Dinosaurs series. I really like them, and I think it was a great idea to use what they called "selective aging technique" to make these pure silver coins look like real stone fossils.

Well Dino, everything is available for a price.
You should be able to find this one and all of them including the 2009 (T-rex) at reputable online coin dealers stores, or ebay.

These guys below are very reliable and always have tons of stuff.
heres a link to them, that is showcasing the 2009 (T-Rex). Hunt around in there.I did and they have all four of them.
Notice however how the 2007 release is going for a bit more than the rest.

I have to say that Colonial Acres is probably the best place I've bought coins so far. Great condition coins and good service ... but slow shipping.

Dollar,

My kids are totally in sync with those coins! Of course... they are always fascinated with reptiles and dinosaurs. Personally, I don't connect and I think the coin would have looked better with selective bronze plating. It's too dark and my vision isn't good enough to see the details.

Ok, I will come out of the closet on this one. Just because your timing is impeccable Dollar.

I love this series and have them all. All "5" of them. Seriously, its true. This was such a successful series the mint decided to produce a fifth coin which incidentally was just released in August. Limited to 13,000. This is the second release for 2010. The Euoplocephalus. I just picked up the fifth coin for $49.95.

I am a huge Dinosaur fan, and this series has me hooked. Don't miss out if you are a collector of these coins.

Just for your info , this last dino coin the euoplocephalus tutus has no mint mark.
I have all five and noticed it when put with the others
I do not know if this an error or not?
Help if any one knows more on it
Thank's in advance.

Nice pics!

While The Dromaeosaurus (2010) has the Mint mark, the Euoplocephalus tutus (2010) does not.... So it's not an error.

Question for the Mint, any chance of these coming back in the future? I really liked these and got all of them when they came out. They were of my first NCLT's. I would like to see some more fossils, whether it being dinosaurs or even extinct beasts like mammoths.
