John1, it hurts when any CCF member passes. My list is for my 6 friends. We called ourselves the Black Sheep. 3 have now passed and 2 are banned from CCF. Sprue and I are the last 2 active. We don't need to add anymore names to the list any time soon.

Awww man this one hits hard. I think no matter how much enjoyment he got from this group, he gave more than he got. I'm glad to have had a chance to know him, even though I never met him. Rest in Peace.

At the end of Covid, I needed to get out, so Elizabeth and I made a date to go to the Hamptons. I reached out to Tony and told him I would be passing near his hometown, he tells me that the Melville coin show was finally opening up and that I should attend and he would make an effort. I have to say Elizabeth was a trooper as our date day ended up at a coin show (we went after the show to the Hamptons). I hanged out with Tony for a little, he asked me what I was collecting and I said Canadian small cents, so he sent me a bunch (must have been the ones Loonie sent him  ) I then emailed him pretty constant for a while. He knew I was texting Butch so when Butch stopped responding to emails he called me to find out more. When I got no response Tony and I were worried, until we found note next day Butch passed. Something after that changed in Tony, he saw mortality coming. Coupled with the sickness and heart issues, he just stopped emailing me. I ended up calling him a few times but he could barely talk in December. I was expecting this. I'm pretty sad. |
