$3,750.00 (Gorgeous early coin produced during a tumultuous year. Is that Dolly Madison fingerprint on it? )

collectinsince65 is currently preparing for Hurricane Milton, so he may not be able to post. He asked me to share this with the group.
Cool back story. Purchased 8-96 as a nice 1812 half. Paid $125 which was just back of greysheet bid at the time.. Researched after purchase in my 3rd edition Bust Halves book by Al Overton. Discovered it to be a 1812/1 Large 8 Bust Half. I auctioned it thru Sheridan Downey in the spring of '97. Tied finest known at the time. Extremely lucky find!!
