@barry.g That's an impressive collection you put together. For your paper money notes, what year did you start seriously collecting? Sometimes we dabble in it and then start to buy more expensive notes.

I bought my first large size note (Series 1886 $1 Silver Certificate) probably around 15 years ago. And yes, I was dabbling at first and then slowly started buying better and more expensive examples. I go to a yearly coin show with a budget, and every year I would buy one or two expensive notes (around $1000 each) in addition to various coins. Once I finally finished completing my type set coin album and my proof type set coin collection back around 2016, I started focusing on seriously working on a note type set.

WOW!! I can't think of a better, more well organized and informational website. Some sites have excellent photos, some have great information and some are well organized but you have hit every aspect and hit them out of the park.

I do have one question for you regarding the U.S. gold coins. I am looking to complete that same type set and I have 10 so far. I noticed that you have the type 1,2,3 of the $1.00 coins but you do not have the "No Motto" or Type 1,2 of the eagles or double eagles. Is that because you do not consider them types or have you just not acquired them yet? I don't have any of them yet but they are on my want list. I'm just not how realistic it will be for me on my budget. I have all of the ones you have pictured except for the $1.00 type 2 and the $3.00. I'd love the older ones of course but first things first.

Anyway, awesome collection and excellent website. I think my favorites are the Indian Chief and the Bison although that Porthole Lincoln is pretty sweet.

To be honest, I wasn't even aware such variants existed. Something to consider for the future, I suppose, but given the high price of gold these days it's not something I will likely be rushing out to do anytime soon.

Thats very true. Gotta have priorities and if I had a more pressing wants (like your notes) I could skip them.
They were not originally in my plans but once I got my first Gold coin I was hooked. I've been able to keep my other coin collecting on the more inexpensive side so I can splurge on those.
